For Chris Beemer ’26, Asbury University’s MFA in Film and Television Production provided an opportunity to advance his education without stepping away from an active career in the film industry.
Based in Orlando, Florida, Beemer now serves as a full-time lecturer in Media Production Management and Film at the University of Central Florida. Alongside teaching, he continues working professionally as a freelance Director of Photography, Director, and Steadicam Operator.
Asbury’s flexible graduate program allowed Beemer to pursue his terminal degree while continuing his professional work, ultimately opening a new direction for his career.
We asked Chris to reflect on his graduate experience at Asbury.
