Asbury University’s Dayton School of Business (DSB) has agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding with GIC Merchant Bank Corp. in Canada and Liminal Access Investment Corp. in Hong Kong to provide ten paid internships over three years for Asbury business students, expanding the School’s growing network of global professional opportunities.
The agreement was reached with Jonson Sun, Founder and President of GIC Merchant Bank Corp., and Daryl Heald, Senior Advisor, and reflects a shared commitment to investing in and developing the next generation of Christian business leaders.
The internships will provide selected Asbury students with meaningful international exposure to investment, business strategy and global markets while learning alongside experienced Christian business leaders.

The MOU provides for ten paid internship positions over three years for Asbury students, with opportunities connected to GIC Merchant Bank Corp. in Canada and Liminal Access Investment Corp. in Hong Kong.
The agreement is part of a broader DSB strategy to build relationships with respected Christian business leaders and organizations around the world and translate those relationships into tangible opportunities for students.
As part of that broader strategy, DSB has set a goal of developing at least 50 paid internship opportunities for Asbury students with carefully vetted, high-quality companies and organizations in the United States and around the world. The goal is to build a growing network of opportunities that gives students meaningful professional experience, access to outstanding marketplace leaders and the opportunity to put their education and faith into practice in real-world settings.
“We want our students to learn alongside outstanding Christian leaders who are building, investing and leading around the world,” Lim said. “From North America to Asia and beyond, we want Asbury business students to have access to outstanding opportunities and respected Christian business leaders globally.”
At the heart of that strategy is DSB’s confidence in the quality of Asbury students.

Daryl Heald, is a longtime leader in Christian generosity, philanthropy and impact investing, with extensive relationships among Christian business and philanthropic leaders globally.
