Fall 2026 Chapel Schedule Invites Asbury Community to ‘Come and See’

Semester lineup features Christian leaders, scholars, missionaries and members of the Asbury community as Asbury University journeys through the Gospel of Matthew.

Asbury University begins a new semester of Chapel with a focus on discipleship, biblical teaching and living out the kingdom of heaven.

As Asbury University begins its 137th academic year, students, faculty and staff will gather throughout the fall for Chapel under the theme “Come and See,” journeying together through the Gospel of Matthew and exploring what it means to follow Jesus. Chapel meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. in Hughes Auditorium.

The Fall 2026 Chapel schedule brings Christian leaders, scholars, pastors, missionaries and members of the Asbury community to Hughes Auditorium for worship, teaching, testimony and spiritual formation. 

The semester begins Aug. 24 with University President Dr. Kevin Brown, followed by Academic Convocation with Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Sherry Wilson ’77 Powers on Aug. 26 and Associate Dean of Spiritual Life and University Chaplain Jeannie Banter ’06 on Aug. 28.

Throughout the semester, the Chapel Teaching Series and special gatherings will welcome speakers from the Asbury community and beyond. Fall 2026 speakers include:

The semester also creates opportunities for the Asbury community to hear from one another. Student Stories Chapels will take place Sept. 16, Oct. 23 and Nov. 18, while other gatherings include Student Government Convocation, TeamAU, Breakout Chapel, Faculty/Staff Stories and the Board of Trustees Chapel. Selah: All Music Worship will offer a dedicated time of worship on Nov. 20.

As the semester draws to a close, the community will enter the Advent season together with Christmas Musical Worship on Dec. 2 and “Christmas with the Browns” on Dec. 4.

From the opening days of the academic year through Advent, Fall 2026 Chapel will invite the Asbury community to “Come and See,” encounter Christ through Scripture and worship, and consider what faithful discipleship looks like on campus and beyond.
