Asbury University Enhances Campus with 2026 Facility Updates

Summer projects strengthen student living, learning, dining, athletics and creative spaces across Asbury’s campus.

Asbury University’s 2026 facility updates enhance the places where students learn, live, create, compete and build community.

Asbury University continues to invest in its campus through significant facility updates in 2026. This summer, Asbury renovates and upgrades spaces across academics, residential life, dining, athletics and the arts, while generous donor support funds several of these projects.

At McCreless Fine Arts, renovations create a more welcoming and functional environment for students, faculty and visitors. AU replaced the entrance doors in December 2025 and began lobby improvements in May 2026. The project adds a new ceiling and lighting, drywall walls that better support art installations, an improved office entrance and a new card-swipe entrance.

Additional projects across campus include:

KRESGE RESIDENCE HALL

The University added new flooring, a new elevator and commons-area furniture while enhancing the building’s roof.

TENNIS COMPLEX

Asbury added six lighted courts, seating and dedicated locker rooms for both teams in the Luce Center. The new complex brings team practices and competitions back to campus, with completion planned for September 2026

HAMANN-RAY NURSING EDUCATION

Asbury also continues to transform the second floor of Hamann-Ray to support nursing education. This project creates classrooms and debrief spaces, high-tech mannequin laboratories, an Anatomy and Physiology Lab, offices and administrative spaces. The University also installed new HVAC and upgraded the building’s electrical systems.

Construction began in April 2026, and Asbury plans to complete the project in late 2026 before students begin their first classes in the new space in January 2027. AU also renovated the second-floor bathrooms, replaced entrance doors and prepared the former bookstore space for future renovation.

These improvements strengthen the everyday spaces where Asbury students learn, connect, create, compete and experience community.

Together, these projects demonstrate Asbury University’s continued commitment to creating spaces that equip students to learn, grow and thrive.
