More than 1,200 alumni representing 34 states and seven countries returned to Asbury University for Reunion 2026, demonstrating the lasting strength of the University’s Christ-centered community.
More than 1,200 alumni returned to Asbury University for Reunion 2026, transforming campus into a celebration of lifelong friendships, shared faith, and the enduring bonds formed through an Asbury education. Alumni traveled from 34 states and seven countries to reconnect with classmates, worship together, and celebrate the community that continues long after graduation.
The weekend showcased the remarkable reach of the Asbury family. One alumna traveled 7,391 miles to return to campus, while the University’s most senior returning graduate, a member of the Class of 1949, came back 77 years after earning his degree. Their journeys reflected a common theme shared throughout the weekend: Asbury remains a place alumni are eager to call home.
Reunion offered more than 65 events, creating opportunities for graduates of every generation to reconnect through class gatherings, worship services, celebrations, and special recognitions. The annual Hymn Sing brought generations together as alumni joined voices in singing 16 class hymns that have become treasured traditions across decades of Asbury history.
Months of prayerful preparation lead up to this weekend, but nothing compares to the moment our alumni step back onto campus—the joy, the renewal, and the shared sense of calling make it all undeniably worthwhile.”
The Class of 1976 led attendance among reunion classes with 100 classmates returning, followed by the Class of 2001 with 70 alumni gathering to celebrate milestone anniversaries. During the weekend, the University also honored 21 inaugural medical missionaries whose faithful service has impacted lives through healthcare and Christian ministry around the world.
Reunion demonstrates that an Asbury education creates a lifelong Christ-centered community that continues to shape lives, friendships, and faithful service across generations.
Nearly 200 staff members, students, alumni leaders, and volunteers helped welcome returning graduates and make the weekend possible, reflecting the same spirit of service that defines the Asbury experience.
From alumni who crossed oceans to those returning after decades away, Reunion 2026 celebrated more than milestones and memories. The weekend served as a powerful reminder that the influence of an Asbury education extends far beyond graduation, connecting generations of Eagles through shared faith, meaningful relationships, and a lasting sense of belonging.
