Asbury University and Lexington Sporting Club (LSC) celebrated a memorable evening of worship, community, and professional soccer during Faith & Fellowship Night on July 22, as hundreds gathered before watching Lexington SC defeat Oakland Roots SC, 2-0, at Lexington SC Stadium.
Asbury President Dr. Kevin Brown participated in the match as an honorary captain before kickoff, while Asbury’s men’s and women’s soccer student-athletes were recognized during halftime.
Faith & Fellowship Night strengthened Asbury University's partnership with one of Central Kentucky's premier professional sports organizations, while providing an opportunity for faculty and staff to connect off campus.
The evening also highlighted the shared emphasis both organizations place on cultivating community, investing in young people, and bringing people together through meaningful experiences both on and off the field.
