TeamAU Earns 3.53 Combined Spring GPA; All 16 Programs Finish Above 3.0

Asbury student-athletes set a new academic record while every program maintained a GPA above 3.0 for the semester.

Asbury Athletics announced an overall department grade point average (GPA) of 3.53 for the 2026 spring semester, reaching eight consecutive semesters with a combined 3.36 or higher GPA.

The 3.53 combined department GPA is the highest semester GPA recorded, and is .05 points higher than the second mark set in spring of 2023 (3.48).

AU Athletics is honored to celebrate the investment to training in the classroom that student-athletes and coaches have displayed. These college athletics programs are embodying the mission of TeamAU to serve, train, and compete for the glory of God.  

To be eligible for the scholar-athlete honor, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the conclusion of the semester. Honor Roll members acquired a 3.25 GPA or higher for that semester.

TeamAU sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading and six club sports representing more than 350 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track and field. Women’s sports include: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. 

Asbury competes as a member of the NCAA Division III, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
