Asbury students and recent alumni receive acceptance to medical and graduate school
This year, 20 of this year’s graduating students and recent alumni from Asbury University’s Shaw School of Sciences received admission into medical school, dental school, graduate school, physical therapy programs, and more.
We are very pleased to see a high number of students from our Shaw School of Sciences attending medical school or graduate programs. This is a direct function of world class faculty who teach from a world class facility.”
Six students received admission into M.D. and D.O. programs, and five students received admission into Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs. Two students received acceptance to dental school, and one student received admission into a Ph.D. program in pharmaceutical sciences.
Students also received acceptance into these programs: PharmD, Physician Assistant, Psy.D. Other students received acceptance into master’s programs in business administration, clinical counseling, and clinical investigations.
The significance of graduate school acceptances reflects Asbury’s strong tradition of preparing students for advanced study.”

These students will head to a variety of schools, including the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, University of Cincinnati, Mercer University, Duquesne University, Chatham University, Bellarmine University, Regent University, University of Illinois Chicago, Cedarville University, Asbury Theological Seminary, St. Jude Graduate School, University of Pikeville, and the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Asbury University Shaw School of Sciences includes five departments: Biology & Chemistry, Equine Studies, Exercise Science, Mathematics & Computer Science, and Nursing. Asbury’s Department of Equine Studies includes undergraduate majors in Equine Assisted Services, Equine Science, and Equine Studies and undergraduate minors in Equine Business Management and Equine Studies.
