Asbury Screenwriting Professor writes upcoming Lifetime film on Duck Dynasty’s Al and Lisa Robertson, premiering May 16.
Asbury University Assistant Professor of Screenwriting and Creative Writing Andrea Gyertson ’95 Nasfell served as the screenwriter for the upcoming movie “Faith & Forgiveness: A Duck Dynasty Love Story,” a movie about Al and Lisa Robertson that will be released on May 16.
It’s a really powerful story of God’s love and redemption, and I was honored to be trusted to translate it to the screen.”
The movie is based on the true love story of Al and Lisa Robertson. The story begins when the Robertsons were teenagers and fell hard and fast for each other, each believing they had found their person. However, the film explores a tumultuous period in their marriage, during which both must decide whether they can forgive each other and allow God to heal their relationship.”
The Lifetime movie “Faith & Forgiveness: A Duck Dynasty Love Story” is produced by Wheelhouse and Tread Lively. The movie stars Haley Ramm, Luke Benward, and Mary Hollis Inboden. It will premiere on Lifetime on May 16 at 8/7c.
Nasfell also recently wrote an episode of the upcoming “Adventures in Odyssey” animated series, to be released later this year or in 2027. She also introduced Sabina Boyer ’27 to the team, who hired her to write an episode for the second season.
