Dr. Calum MacKellar, a bioethicist from St. Mary’s University, London, UK, and director of research for the Scottish Council on Human Bioethics in Edinburgh, delivered a presentation for the Asbury University Human Dignity Lecture series entitled, Resurrecting Eugenics: Should Only Healthy Children be Born?

With growing concern that previously discredited eugenics of early 20th century regimes may now be resurfacing as more ‘sanitized’ selective practices, MacKellar examined these practices from a Christian perspective and the ethical consequences of such selections on modern society.
