Parent Handbook

As an Asbury Parent, this handbook has been prepared to serve as your guide to the campus community. We hope you find it helpful.
This new online version will allow us to stay current and to keep you informed of any significant updates. Topics are listed alphabetically.
We hope you plan to visit your student and take part in at least some of the activities on campus, such as Fall Revival, Homecoming/Parent Weekend, plays, concerts and athletic events. The campus calendar can be found online at www.asbury.edu. As a parent of an Asbury University student you will receive the University's magazine, The Ambassador, along with email updates of important campus news.
On occasion the University may come to your area in the form of a ministry team or alumni and friends event. We'll do our best to keep you informed of these now that you're part of the Asbury family.
The Parent Advisory Council representatives are available for you to contact if you have questions or concerns. This council is made up of two sets of parents from each class who meet on campus twice a year. If they can't personally answer your question, they'll put you in contact with someone who can, or feel free to email me directly.
It is our goal for this handbook to be useful throughout the coming year. Please let me know by email or letter if there's a piece of information you'd like to see included. I truly would appreciate your input.
See you on campus soon,
Carolyn Ridley '81 Director of Alumni Relations & Parents' Programs

P.S. Another great reason to visit Asbury is to bring your student's friends for a visit. Our admissions office is always happy to arrange for campus tours or can send you recruitment materials for you to pass along to a prospective student or youth pastor.
