Privacy, Confidentiality, and Terms of Use
Students and Alumni
By using the Asbury University Center for Career and Calling’s AU CareerLink service, you consent to the storage of your resume and certain profile data on servers provided by the NACElink Network – owned and operated by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Certain data you provide as part of your AU CareerLink profile may also be used in aggregate reports for internal institutional purposes at Asbury University.
By uploading your resume to AU CareerLink, and granting permission for prospective employers to view it (within your privacy settings), you consent to the release of your resume and certain employment-related information of a personal and professional nature.
As a user of AU CareerLink, you agree to:
- Maintain current, accurate, and truthful information with regard to your user profile, professional qualifications, educational background, and job related documents stored within AU CareerLink.
- Protect and maintain your username and password.
- Use AU CareerLink within the standards of the policies regarding computer use at Asbury University.
Failure to comply with the above terms of use may result in the suspension or termination of your AU CareerLink account.
Employer Partners
As an independent, Christian, liberal arts university in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, Asbury University reserves the right to approve, disapprove, or remove any employer which appears to be inappropriate or unrelated to our students, alumni, or current major/minor programs of study.
By participating in any of our services or events, you agree that your organization will not use the web site for any purpose that is unlawful. Failure to comply would lead to removal of services.
Job postings from any third-party recruiter charging a fee or restricting complete access to all job information are strictly prohibited.
Our Commitment
Asbury University’s Center for Career and Calling staff will use their best efforts to verify that only bona fide employers, including third-party recruiters who do not charge fees to applicants, are granted access to AU CareerLink to list vacancies and search resumes. However, it is possible that an employer account could be misused or abused by inconsiderate person(s); therefore care should be taken when listing certain personal information in your resume. Your e-mail address and telephone number should normally be sufficient to allow initial contact from employers using AU CareerLink.
Confidentiality
Both the Asbury University Center for Career and Calling and NACE are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all information stored within AU CareerLink and will not sell, transmit, or disclose in any capacity this information to any other organization.
