Adventure Programs

Sunet in Gorge

The Adventure Programs Department at Asbury University is committed to developing leaders in everything that we do.  Using adventure experiences in outdoor settings as educational tools, we are the perfect option for your professional development, teambuilding, and outdoor recreation needs.  In addition to offering a wide variety of programming to our campus community, Asbury University Adventure Programs can customize an experience for any group or organization.

The Asbury University Challenge Course has been offering high quality leadership development, teambuilding, and professional adventure education experiences for twenty years.

Asbury University Adventure Programs offers a pre-orientation wilderness excursion for new Asburians called Archways.  Designed for anyone new to the Asbury community, past participants rave that there is simply no better way to have started their college experience

Recreation with an Emphasis in Adventure Leadership is an exciting new academic program designed around the principles of experiential and outdoor education.  Students can major or minor in this cutting edge program.

Students already on campus can get involved in our Asbury Outdoors Club, a student led organization offering a variety of outdoor activities to the Asbury community including caving, climbing, canoeing, and backpacking.

We also offer our high quality Outdoor Recreation programs to the public. Whether it's taking a week long backpacking trip with friends in another state, or a single-day climbing trip to the Red River Gorge, let us be your guide.

Climbing Trip

We serve outside groups with adventure education beyond just our challenge course, with the ability to offer custom designed curriculum with a variety of educational outcomes using activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and hiking or overnight backpacking.  Please look around our website and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.  We love to build custom programs, so if you dont see it here that doesn't mean we can't do it.
