Equine Visit Event
Asbury University offers a unique opportunity for high school students who have an interest in Equine Studies. The Equine Visit Event is a chance for students to become familiar with Asbury's Equine program, no matter your experience level. Whether you've been riding for years or just have an interest in the business, this event will help you get a better understanding of the program.
During the Equine Visit Event you'll attend Equine classes, meet with Equine Professors, connect with current Equine Studies students, and hear from guest speaker, Kim Meeder.
- Equine Visit Event, October 4-5, 2012
Guest Speaker
Kim Meeder is the cofounder and director of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, an organization that rescues abused and dying horses and pairs them with children in need. Kim’s first book, Hope Rising, propelled the ranch to win the national Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award and launched her extensive public/motivational speaking schedule at schools, churches, and governmental conferences across the United States. She and her husband, Troy, have been married for twenty-five years and live in Central Oregon. The size of their family fluctuates each year with the number of horses and kids that they rescue.
