About the Center for Academic Excellence

Our Mission

The Center for Academic Excellence exists to provide a supportive academic environment for students on Asbury University campus.  Through one-on-one and group tutoring and other resources and services, students are given immediate support for particular classes, writing needs, or academic concerns and are taught skills to become confident, independent learners.

Services

• one-on-one writing assistance for writers at any stage of the writing process
• one-on-one writing sessions in conjunction with English 100 composition classes
• individual and group tutoring for specific classes
• academic coaching for individuals needing specific strategies and accountability
• academic support for students with learning differences

Resources

• tip sheets and worksheets on various grammar and punctuation topics
• tip sheets for various documentation styles—APA, MLA, Chicago
• grammar handbooks for consultation
