Description/Responsibilities:Having a vibrant Student Ministries for our youth is central to any healthy and growing church! And, central to a vibrant Student Ministries is it’s leadership. What follows is a brief description of the Student Ministries Pastor Intern position... Goal: To lead students to Jesus and oversee Student Ministries (Jr & Sr High) with emphasis on a weekly experience, monthly event and team leadership development. Responsibilities: 1 - Weekly Student experience. This includes teaching Sunday School (9:30am), and facilitating worship, break-out groups, activities, etc, at 5:00pm. 2 - Monthly outreach/fellowship event. 3 - Leadership development & training of a student leadership team. 4 - Website/Social Media updates, Newsletter updates, etc. Structure: This SMP reports directly to the Lead Pastor (1 monthly meeting) and will coordinate consistently with the Elder of Christian Education (Discipleship). A monthly written report will be submitted to the Elders. No set office hours will be required The initial term will be from August - December 21st, 2014. The position will be re-visited and a new contract agreed upon for 2015 (January - April 26th). Salary: $150 weekly plus event/training fees as agreed upon 2 Sunday’s off as agreed upon in advance (1 paid; 1 unpaid) Funds will come from our sacrificial giving and the Teresa Free legacy fund.
Requirements/Qualifications:Candidate: 20+ years old (Junior or Senior) in Undergraduate studies with Christ-centered calling, character, chemistry and competence in the area of Student Ministries.
