Allison Brown holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Oklahoma State University, an M.A. in History of Christianity from Wheaton College, and a Ph.D. in Religion (Historical Studies) from Baylor University. She has taught in Baylor’s Honors College and Department of Religion since graduating in 2024. Her research explores how sixteenth century Protestant polemic used gendered understandings of the political realm as a lens through which to interpret and apply biblical narratives on tyranny and resistance. Allison loves to read, bake, take walks with her dog (Winnie the Poodle), watch F1 races, and cheer on, with unfading if misplaced optimism, the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
