Holly Matthews, MSN, RN, is a Lexington native with a deep commitment to nursing education and student success. With a distinguished career spanning decades in both clinical practice (primarily Obstetrics and Pediatrics) and academia, she brings a wealth of experience to her role as faculty in the newly established nursing program at Asbury University.  Holly has dedicated much of her professional life to educating and mentoring future nurses, serving in faculty and leadership roles in practical, associate, and baccalaureate nursing programs. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, clinical excellence, and preparation for success on the NCLEX and in professional practice.  Outside of her professional life, Holly has been married for over 30 years and is the proud mother of three adult children, including a daughter and identical twin sons, one daughter in law, and another daughter in law soon. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, scrapbooking, and reading.  Holly is excited to begin this new chapter at Asbury University and looks forward to supporting and guiding students as they pursue their goals of becoming registered nurses and making a meaningful impact in healthcare.
