Hosted by NCCAA Communications Coordinator Richard Martin, the episode features Britton, a senior, and Mayes, a junior, as they discuss serving alongside their teammates through Roblealto, a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for children and adolescents in Costa Rica who face social vulnerability and require specialized care.
During the conversation, Britton and Mayes share stories from the trip, highlighting the relationships they built with local children and the ways God worked through their team’s service. They also describe how the experience helped them rediscover the joy of the Lord and offered a fresh perspective compared to previous mission trips.
The episode explores how faith, athletics, and service intersect in the lives of Asbury student-athletes, emphasizing the University’s commitment to developing students who lead and serve with Christ-centered purpose both on and off the court.
The Costa Rica trip was completed in partnership with Roblealto and LYNC8, organizations that create opportunities for meaningful ministry and cross-cultural service.
