Asbury University Celebrates Student-Athletes at 2026 Eagle Awards

Asbury 2026 Eagle Awards is an annual event that honors excellence in athletics, academics, Christian leadership, and service across TeamAU.

Asbury Athletics recently hosted the 2026 Eagle Awards, bringing together student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and families to celebrate another year of achievement and Christ-centered competition. The event took place in the Shaw Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) Luce Auditorium and highlighted the dedication, character, and accomplishments of TeamAU throughout the 2025-26 academic year.

The Asbury Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) assisted the Asbury Athletic Communications and Events team to organize and produce the event, showcasing student-athlete leadership and engagement on campus as. SAAC includes two student-athlete representatives from each of Asbury’s 16 intercollegiate athletic programs and exists to support and serve the student-athlete community on campus.

The Eagle Awards reflect Asbury University’s commitment to providing student-athletes the opportunity to serve, train, and compete for the glory of God with a standard of excellence in NCAA Division III college athletics. 

Throughout the evening, Asbury attendees celebrated athletes and teams who demonstrated exceptional performance both on and off the field. Awards recognized achievements in athletics, academics, leadership, teamwork, and service while also honoring the spiritual growth and community impact of TeamAU members.

The Asbury event also showcased the strong sense of community within Asbury Athletics. Families, teammates, coaches, and faculty gathered to recognize the hard work and perseverance that defined the year across every program. Students shared moments of encouragement, celebration, and gratitude as the university reflected on another successful year of competition and discipleship.

The Eagle Awards streamed live during the event and remain archived on the Asbury Athletics YouTube account, allowing supporters and alumni to celebrate alongside the campus community. Asbury Athletics will continue releasing award recognitions throughout the week on asburyeagles.com and across the program’s social media platforms, including Instagram, X, and Facebook.

Asbury Athletics continues to build a culture that values academic and competitive excellence, servant leadership, and formation in Christ. The Eagle Awards serve as a meaningful reminder of the dedication and character demonstrated daily by Asbury student-athletes and the broader TeamAU community.

TeamAU sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading and six club sports representing more than 350 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track and field. Women’s sports include: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. 

Asbury competes as a member of the NCAA Division III, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
