More than 500 student-athletes from across the country will compete at Asbury’s state-of-the-art Gray Outdoor Venue, May 6–8
Asbury University prepares to host the 2026 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships May 6–8 at the Gray Outdoor Venue in Wilmore.
Originally announced seven months ago as part of a two-year partnership with the NCCAA, the upcoming championship marks the first time Asbury will serve as host for this national event. The meet will welcome more than 500 student-athletes representing NCCAA member institutions from across the country.

“This championship reflects our commitment to excellence in athletics while advancing our mission to glorify God through competition, character, and community.”The Gray Outdoor Venue, dedicated in June 2025, is a state-of-the-art, multi-use facility featuring an eight-lane track, Sprinturf multi-purpose field, Musco lighting, Daktronics video board, and modern support spaces including locker rooms and a press box. The venue serves as the home of Asbury’s track & field program and provides a premier setting for national-level competition.In alignment with the NCCAA’s mission, all participating student-athletes will take part in a Christian Service Project prior to the start of competition, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to faith and service alongside athletics.
This event represents one of the largest annual gatherings for NCCAA student-athletes."
“We are honored to host and look forward to creating an experience that is both competitive and Christ-centered.” The championships will run daily from May 6–8 and are open to fans, families, and the public. Spectators are invited to attend and support student-athletes as they compete at the national level.

TeamAU sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading and six club sports representing more than 350 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track and field. Women’s sports include: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Asbury competes as a member of the NCAA Division III, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
