The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) has named Jennifer McChord, Asbury University’s Vice President of Enrollment & Marketing, as Chairperson of the Commission for Enrollment and Admissions Marketing. McChord previously served as Vice Chair before being nominated and approved by her peers for this leadership role.
Additional Asbury University administrators serving on CCCU commissions include Rev. Dr. Esther Jadhav (Commission on Diversity and Inclusion) and Leslie Kurtz (Commission for Financial Aid Administrators), further highlighting Asbury’s strong representation and leadership within the national CCCU network.
“I’m truly honored to be selected by my peers from such outstanding Christ-centered institutions across the country,” McChord said. “The CCCU community represents the best of Christian higher education, and I look forward to a year of collaboration, creativity, and shared purpose as we champion the life-changing work happening on our campuses.”
Since joining Asbury in March 2020, McChord has played a key role in shaping the University’s enrollment and marketing strategy. She first served as Director of Strategic Communications before being promoted to Vice President of Enrollment & Marketing in December 2021. Prior to her time at Asbury, McChord worked in a variety of sales and marketing settings—from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies—bringing a wealth of strategic and relational experience to her role.
“It’s a privilege to serve at Asbury University, where students are challenged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally,” McChord said. “We’re preparing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders to make a difference in the world.”
The CCCU works closely with a strong network of volunteer leaders who serve in key administrative roles across its member campuses. These groups, called commissions, advise the CCCU on relevant topics, assist with conference planning and speaker selection, and serve as a resource and connection point for colleagues in similar roles throughout Christian higher education.
The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities is a higher education association of more than 170 Christ-centered institutions worldwide. Since 1976, the CCCU has served as a leading voice for Christian higher education, advancing its mission to transform lives by faithfully integrating scholarship, service, and biblical truth. With more than 130 campuses in the U.S. and Canada and 30 additional campuses across 18 countries, CCCU institutions are accredited, comprehensive universities dedicated to cultivating graduates who think deeply, act justly, and live faithfully.
