Record-setting asbury junior earns national honors
GREENVILLE, SC. — The National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) recently announced Asbury women’s basketball junior elementary education major Emily Sizemore as a Second Team All-American.
Sizemore, an elementary education major from London, Ky., finished fourth in the NCCAA with 20.6 points per game while shooting 49% from the field. She also led the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) with 621 total points, surpassing 1,000 career points (1,012) in just two seasons at Asbury.
In addition to her All-American honor, Sizemore earned CCS First Team All-Conference recognition and was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Third Team.
TeamAU sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading and six club sports representing more than 350 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track and field. Women’s sports include: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Asbury competes as a member of the NCAA Division III, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
