“Through this trip, you could explore destinations filled with Biblical history, cultural richness, and educational depth, all while sharing unforgettable moments and conversations with fellow alumni, family, and friends. Each journey is designed to enrich your faith and broaden your understanding of the world around you.”
Asbury University Bert Jones. Bert Jones Director of Alumni & Church Relations

Adventures with Asbury provides opportunities that are intentionally inspiring, enriching and informational. Trips may include missional and/or service opportunities as AU partners with alumni serving around the world. The travel program offers opportunities to:

  • Learn more about God’s creativity as we explore different countries, historical sites, Biblical sites and engage cultures different than our own.
  • Build relationships with alumni, family and friends of Asbury.
  • Grow in our faith through worship, testimonials, devotionals, discussions and Biblical applications.
  • Discover more about Asbury and our mission to advance the cause of Christ around the world.

Each year, the Alumni Travel Program offers one travel opportunity that is available for anyone affiliated with Asbury. In 2025, AU alumni embarked on the Passages of the Bible trip to Greece, Egypt, Cypress and Turkey.

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed traveling with Asbury Alumni and friends,” said alumna Laura Hudson ’86 Patterson. “Together, we marveled at the beauty of God’s creation in the Greek islands, at the Pyramids of Giza, and at Ephesus. This was a wonderful time of warm connection not only with fellow Asburians but with the University itself. We’re ready to travel again on another Adventure with Asbury!”

Alumna Jen Weed ’96 Swee shares: “The Passages of the Bible trip brought Paul’s letters to life in geographical and spiritual ways we hadn’t considered until we walked where he walked. Windy days at sea helped us understand the magnitude of Paul’s surviving a shipwreck off Malta. Ephesus will stay with us for the rest of our lives! To see how ‘modern’ and ‘cosmopolitan’ it was for that era really reframed it in our minds and in our Bible readings. If you have an opportunity to join Asbury on an expedition like this, jump at the chance!”
