Description/Responsibilities: 
Position Summary The web developer is comfortable and experienced with stretching the limits of WordPress. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the Seminary’s websites, media accounts, training of student workers, maintenance of the seminary internal messaging system and in-depth analysis of statistical data. Essential Functions • Build custom WordPress themes from the ground up, including custom post types, custom fields, and custom plugins. • Write standards-compliant code and perform testing/debugging in multiple browsers and platforms. • Design and/or translate visual concepts into functional websites, microsites, HTML emails, and interactive ads utilizing responsive design characteristics. • Convert Adobe CS files into unified, functional experience on web and mobile platforms. • Interpret Seminary vision and functional specifications, and turn PSD’s into fully functional websites that work across all browsers, including IE7. • Exercise strong communication skills through copy-editing, social media, and internal communications. Develop and maintain Asbury Seminary websites and media accounts: - Develop and maintains asburyseminary.edu and related websites. - Manage new content for asburyseminary.edu and ensure content is kept current - Develop and maintain seedbed.com and related websites - Manage and create content for oneATS - Manage implementation of new strategic goals on websites and media accounts - Responsible for developing and maintaining Asbury Seminary blogs - Interpret designs for use on the web Other Responsibilities • Work with communications team to coordinate workflow • Train and supervises Student Workers • Keep up with current web technologies, trends, and standards • Answer web tech support questions Financial Responsibility / Authority None. Requirements/Qualifications: 
Education/Certification/Training/Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Expert knowledge and understanding of XHTML, HTML 5, CSS, RSS, XML, jQuery, WordPress, PHP, Javascript, Drupal required. • Ability to develop websites within complex, multi-site systems desired. • Experience with Google Analytics, Alexa, WordPress Jetpack or similar desired. • Experience with database design/management and SQL a plus.
