Missionary Counselor

We are in the process of establishing an in-field member care/development program for those teams and individual missionaries that live and work in our area. The area includes the United States, Mexico, and Central America. We are looking to possibly expand as well into what is known as the Americas region where Pioneers works. This area would include all of Latin America and Canada. Pioneers is a church planting mission, seeking to reach out to those who have not had a real opportunity to hear the Gospel. This mission is often found working in restricted access areas, causing individuals and teams to be challenged on many fronts. At present member care for missionaries in-field is often inadequate, in spite of this population needing additional attention due to the extremely stressful circumstances they encounter. Our hope is to recruit those who might be interested in raising their own support in order to serve as missionary counselors to missionaries on the field. This would involve more of a preventative approach as opposed to those programs presently in place which work to assist missionaries stateside after they have left or been requested to leave the field due to the severity of the issues they are facing.
