Joe holds an M.S. in educational administration from Baylor University and a B.S. from Howard Payne University. He came to Asbury from Baylor, where he was assistant director for resident living. At Baylor, he was responsible for a living community of 2,500 students, professional and student staff development, administrative efficiency and effectiveness, and facilities management. He was previously a hall director at Baylor and served in leadership roles for Kids Across America.
Joe sensed God leading him to use his experiences and strengths in a smaller Christian liberal arts college, and enjoys living in and sharing his life with the community at Asbury University, including students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.
Joe and his wife, Amber, have two children, Abigail Grace and Samuel Kirby.
