Dr. John Morley serves as the Assistant Director of Career and Calling. His focus is on the connection between formation and vocation. He served as the longtime resident director of Johnson Hall (1996-2005), one of the men’s residence halls, on the Spiritual Life staff (2007-2018) and also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Christian Ministries Department.
In addition to extensive local church youth ministry experience, John serves as the Vice President of New Hope International Ministries, a local mission agency and chair of the board for AdventureServe Ministries a summer service project organization. Through New Hope John has had the privilege of serving with numerous Asbury students on mission trips around the world. He completed a doctorate in Leadership and Spiritual Formation at George Fox University and also has Masters in Parish Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary.
John, wife Zoe and son little John have hosted hundreds of students in their home. He has a desire to help students develop the spiritual formation tools, so they can maintain a lifelong journey with Jesus. He loves to travel, (especially to baseball stadiums), fish, write and read. But most of all, he enjoys hanging out with students, friends and family.
