Asbury University Online Extends its Tradition for Rigor, Ethics and Professionalism with Degree Completion Programs for Criminal Justice and Elementary Education, and Masters and Certification Programs for Graduate Education
Asbury University Online offers undergraduate degree programs that lead to:
- completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice (Adult Professional Studies and College of Arts & Science)
- completion of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education (Adult Professional Studies and School of Education)
- Master's Degree and Rank I (School of Education)
These programs are delivered online by distinguished faculty, representing the tradition for rigor, ethics and professionalism that have long been the standard of Asbury University. For more than a century Asbury College offered nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate programs in Education. Now, Asbury University continues to provide that same acknowledged quality of teacher and educational leadership preparation with "Teacher as Leader" Endorsement and Principal Licensure, delivered online.
Learning Platforms and Methods
The Asbury University Learning Platform includes state-of-the-art technology that enables all online students to personally engage with faculty and their cohorts. Education students and teacher leaders are also partnered with distinguished practitioners and taught to focus on inquiry, analytical practices, diagnostics, assessment and prescriptions for school improvement. Criminal Justice students also receive instruction from academic and field-based practitioners, preparing graduates to serve transformatively in law enforcement, the judiciary and the correctional systems, as well as within other areas addressing the intersection of human violence and community.
Program Entry
Qualified undergraduate and graduate candidates may enter these programs at multiple times throughout the year; however, dates will vary depending upon the program. While the Criminal Justice program is only delivered online, Elementary Education is also offered onsite through both Adult Professional Studies and Traditional Undergraduate Studies. "Teacher as Leader" and Principal Licensure are also offered onsite.
