Tenure Track Music Faculty
POSITION: Full-time, tenure-track position beginning August 2014
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be an excellent, experienced musician and teacher with a commitment to and understanding of liberal arts education. Doctorate in relevant field preferred, ABD will be considered. Ability and experience as an instrumental conductor (orchestral experience preferred). University teaching experience in music history also preferred. Certification in music therapy considered.

ACADEMIC RANK: Dependent on qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct university orchestra. Teach courses in music history and literature. Recruit music majors. Other teaching responsibilities could include: orchestration, composition, music therapy, music technology, music appreciation, studio private lessons, instrumental chamber music program.
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT: The Asbury University Music Department currently offers two majors: Bachelor of Science in Education, Integrated Music P-12 & Bachelor of Arts in Music, with areas of emphasis in Pre-Music Therapy, Church Music Leadership, Composition/Arranging, Performance, and Music History. Asbury University in an accredited institutional member of The National Association of Schools of Music.
