Description/Responsibilities:The intern will interface with a variety of new hires, current employees and KentuckyOne Health leaders as he/she assists with the KentuckyOne Health Orientation process. The intern will design and develop a variety of training curriculum. The intern will review training evaluations and will analyze summary data and determine recommendations based on findings. The intern will learn from KentuckyOne Health Learning Masters, advanced facilitation and public speaking skills. The intern, once mentored, will have opportunity to assist with facilitation and teaching.The intern may meet and greet our guests (internal and external) at a variety of facilities and locations. The intern will serve as a greeter for Organizational Development and Education events.The intern may learn about a variety of departments and areas throughout the health system by shadowing a variety of departments, including Human Resources, Surgery, Chaplain Services, Nutritional Services, Admitting, and Emergency Department Registration. The intern will participate, and present data and other information, in a variety of employee meetings to better understand the functions of the healthcare arena.
Requirements/Qualifications:The intern will need exceptional oral and written communication skills, initiative and creativity to plan and develop training curriculum, a variety of strong computer skills including knowledge of and an above average ability to manage Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel projects. The intern will maintain the utmost professional and formal appearance, and decorum at all times. The intern will be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality for all employees, patients and guests.

The interview team consists of the Director, and a current intern. The candidate should bring reference information and a resume to the interview. At that time, the candidate will complete an internal application and interview with the Office of Organizational Development and Education. Should the applicant successfully complete the interview process, he or she will then attend an Information Session with Volunteer Services. At that time, information will be given concerning any drug screen, background check and TB test. The information will also discuss participation at Volunteer Orientation. Should the intern pass these requirements, the intern will successfully begin an internship with KentuckyOne Health.
