Description/Responsibilities:Position Summary This person will organize and lead Servant Teams, Internships and short-term teams for Word Made Flesh Romania. This position is an active participant in the WMF Romania community while focusing their time on discipleship and formation of short-termers and investing in potential partners and staff members. The Short-Term Programs Coordinator supports the WMF community by offering discipleship in community among the poor and by investing in the future of the field. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the WMF Romania Field Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following key duties: • Program Administration a) Communicate with the Director of Staff Development in the WMF International Office to coordinate details for all short-term programs b) Communicate with potential Servant Team (ST) members, interns and short-term teams c) Participate in interviews and selection process of ST members, interns and short-term teams d) Set short-term program budgets and report expenses e) Plan and facilitate ST, Intern, and short-term team activities and schedules f) Facilitate evaluation and debriefing of ST members, interns, and short-term teams • Servant Team Member, Internship and Short-term Team Development a) Lead book discussions and facilitate the use of development tools for discipleship and personal formation b) Integrate the ST members, interns and short-term teams into the community relationships and service c) Support ST members interns and short-term teams in their host family relationships d) Support ST members and interns in debriefing their experience and re-entry into home culture • Attend daily chapel, staff meetings and be an active participant in the WMF Romania staff community • Participate in regular service among vulnerable children and families • Perform other duties as assigned Terms and Conditions • Worksite Location: Galati, Romania • WMF International Staff commit to a three year contract of service • This is a support-based position; staff commit to raising support for their salary and expenses
Requirements/Qualifications:• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills • Motivated and responsible individual able to work independently and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and creatively problem solve with a team • Leadership experience including group development and conflict management • Proficient in MS Office Suite • Able to set budgets, complete financial reports and basic accounting • Able to multi-task and resume routine with multiple interruptions • Commitment to pursuing a growing and vibrant relationship with God and a life consistent with Christ’s teaching • Commitment to building relationships with and investing in the WMF Romania staff community Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s Degree required • Prior experience on a Servant Team or as an intern in a WMF field (if the interested candidate has not done this please contact the International Office to learn more)
