Oversee the overall planning, development, management, evaluation, promotion, and outreach for KET's early childhood education projects and services. Prepare and manage division budget. Design, deliver, and evaluate KET early childhood training workshops and presentations and supervise and evaluate the development and delivery of training provided by other KET staff and /or contract trainers. Design and deliver workshops, presentations, or other events that promote KET early childhood resources and help families, parents, caregivers, and educatiors use these resources effectively. Coordinate the content for Early Chiildhood websites, including writing and editing copy and developing special features. Research needs in early childhood education and plan, produce, and deliver training and/or resoucres that meet these needs. Research and write, or assist in the writing of , grant applications for Early Childhoood projects and oversee development, budget, implementation, and evaluation of funded projects. Supervise KET early childhood employees and/or contractors. Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with early childhood agencies and represent KET at appropriate early childhood meetings. Collaborate with Education Division staff on cross-divional initiatives, including working with the Instructional Media Manager in the planning, development, and population of early childhood resources/collections for KET's educational repositories. Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, family studies, literacy, adult education, or related field plus minimum of three years experience working in early childhood or elementary (P-3) environments or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Skilled in presenting dynamic workshops for parents, families, childcare providers and early childhood educatiors; Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer's Credential, Level 3, strongly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development, family literacy, and community outreach. Experience with instructional media preferred. Demonstrated experience managing multifaceted projects, including budget administration, staff supervision, project implementation, reporting and evaluation. Excellent communication, collaborative, and leadership skills.
