FEATURED SPEAKERS:

Kenneth Collins

• Professor of Wesley Studies and Historical Theology at Asbury Theological Seminary
• Ordained elder in the United Methodist Church
• Publications in the field of Wesley studies include John Wesley:  A Theological Journey, Conversion in the Wesleyan Tradition, A Real Christian:  The Life of John Wesley, and The Scripture Way of Salvation:  The Heart of John Wesley’s Theology, as well as dozens of featured articles
• Has also published books on spirituality, such as Exploring Christian Spirituality:  An Ecumenical Reader and The Evangelical Moment:  The Promise of an American Religion
• On the steering committee of the Wesleyan Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion

Steve DeNeff

• Senior pastor of the College Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana, and pastor in the Wesleyan Church for 25 years
• Publications include Whatever Became of Holiness? and More Than Forgiveness, as well as frequent contributions to Wesleyan periodicals
• Active in the training and development of new ministers at various sites throughout the U.S.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, and honorary doctorate degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University

Victor Hamilton

• Professor of Religion at Asbury College, where he has taught since 1971
• Ph.D. and M.A. from Brandeis University, B.D. and Th.M. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and B.A. from Houghton College
• Publications include Handbook on the Pentateuch and a two-volume commentary on Genesis
• Served on the translation team of The New Living Translation of the Bible (NLT)

Mark Schell

• Professor of Organ and Church Music at Asbury College, where he has taught for 16 years
• Director of the Asbury College Men’s Glee Club and Wesley Memorial Handbell Choir, as well as church handbell and youth choirs
• Minister of music/organist for Wilmore Free Methodist Church for 15 years
• B.A. from Asbury College, M.C.M. and D.M.A. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary/School of Church Music
• Has been a guest performer, accompanist, organist, and conductor for concerts and music festivals throughout Kentucky and West Virginia

Paul Vincent

• Professor of English at Asbury College, where he has taught since 1976
• Graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College, M.A. in literature from State University College in Buffalo, and Ph.D. from Syracuse University
• Member of the Lexington Corps of the Salvation Army
