Parking & Campus Services

PARKING

Parking for guests is provided in the Akers & Fine Arts parking lots, the Commuter lot behind Hamann-Ray Science Center, the Upperclass lots behind the Johnson and Trustees Residence Halls, Kinlaw Library lot, James Street lot (by the soccer field), Miller Center for Communication Arts lot, and the Kresge lot. 

Please refrain from parking in the Administration lot behind the cafeteria, in the lot directly behind the Fletcher-Early Student Development Center, and anywhere on the semi-circle.

For Guests with Disabilities: 

For Baccalaureate, accessible drop-off will be available via Bethel Street at the rear of Hughes Auditorium. Ramp access to the Auditorium is available via the marked area adjacent to the rear Kinlaw circle. Designated parking is provided in the Kinlaw Lot.

For Commencement, accessible parking and drop-off will be available directly behind the Luce Center. Ground-level access to the building is available via the rear door nearest West Main Street, the access point for the Luce Center Lot. Subsequent pickup after Commencement should also transpire at the rear of the building as the front of the building will be closed to vehicle traffic due to exiting commencement patrons.

ATM

An ATM is located in the Student Center.

 

TELEPHONE SERVICE

The University telephone switchboard is located in the Hager Administration Building, which is open 24 hours a day (859-858-3511).  Persons in residence halls may simply dial "0" on the lobby phone to reach the switchboard.  For medical emergencies, call "9,911" from a courtesy phone. 

 

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

We request that guests wear attire appropriate to the dignity of the occasion.  In keeping with our University policy of being a smoke-free campus and with State Fire Regulations, we request that guests refrain from smoking on campus.  Pets are not permitted in any campus facility.

 

HOSPITALITY CENTER

The Student Center is available for family and friends to gather, with services of the Hiccup Cafe' available.  Pool tables, ping pong, table games, TV viewing, and plenty of comfortable seating will be provided, along with free WiFi. The Hospitality Center will be open:

  • Friday, May 5 -  1 - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 6 - 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
