SEARCH Symposium Research Competition and Awards

For those students entering into the competition portion of the SEARCH Symposium, their projects will be judged according to the following criteria:

  • The originality of the project’s content and connection to its academic discipline
  • The level of critical thinking expressed in the research question and methodology
  • The ability of the student to reflect upon the project’s strengths and significance
  • The ability of the student to communicate the project’s objectives and achievements

The winning research project will receive a cash prize and an honorary sculpture. The winner will be announced live in Honors Chapel at the end of the spring semester.
