Asbury Sponsors Faith & Family Night

Asbury University sponsors Faith & Family night, a summer tradition of baseball, Christian music and fireworks at Whittaker Bank Ballpark.
Christian artist Josh Wilson will perform a free concert at Faith & Family Night on July 29.

Featuring baseball, fireworks and Christian music, Asbury University’s annual Faith & Family night has become a beloved summer tradition in Central Kentucky — so beloved, in fact, that if you’re planning to go, you should reserve tickets sooner rather than later (a crowd of around 8,000 is expected).

Sponsored by Asbury University for the seventh-straight year, Faith & Family Night will be held July 29, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington. This year’s featured events include a Lexington Legends professional baseball game, a fireworks show and a free concert by Christian artist Josh Wilson, whose chart-topping singles include “Savior, Please,” “Before the Morning” and “I Refuse.”

In addition to the game, fireworks and concert, Asburians young and old — as well as hundreds of youth from church groups and other organizations around the state — will be involved in prize giveaways, contests and in-between-inning activities.

Faith & Family Night is typically the top attended event during the Legends’ season. Church groups — including a record 40 youth groups in 2016 — help fill the stadium annually for this family-friendly night of fellowship. More than 8,000 fans attended last year — the Legend's season-best crowd.

As the event may sell out, be sure to obtain your individual or group tickets as soon as possible at LexingtonLegends.com. A limited number of discounted tickets will be available for Asbury students, faculty, staff and alumni. To reserve, contact MarCom@asbury.edu.
