Asbury ImpactU Launches Business Camp

Kicking off June 5, Asbury University’s ImpactU summer academic camps offer Business/Entrepreneurship, Equine, Brass Music, Film and much more.

WILMORE, Ky. — Kicking off June 5, Asbury University’s ImpactU summer academic camps will offer an outstanding opportunity for high school students interested in business. “LAUNCH: The Entrepreneurship Camp” will guide students through the process of starting a business, from idea development to implementation — an only-at-Asbury introduction to social entrepreneurship.

Asbury’s Howard Dayton School of Business trains students to be the best for the world, using businesses to make a positive difference in the communities where they operate. Through LAUNCH, high school students will access Asbury’s amazing business resources, learning from experienced faculty, developing new skills, building friendships with other students and experiencing a taste of college life.

“Our high school students will have great ideas, and we want to help them learn the process of turning an idea into an actual business,” said Dr. Mark Gill, a professor in Asbury’s Howard Dayton School of Business and LAUNCH camp director. “We’ll cover idea generation, brainstorming, evaluating market potential, understanding customer needs, product development and testing and much more.”

Asbury’s ImpactU camps offers many options in addition to LAUNCH. Students can develop skills or explore new interests across a wide variety of subject areas, from music to media to science and biotechnology. 2017 ImpactU camps include the following:

All camps are staffed by experienced Asbury faculty and outstanding students. Fees include all food, housing, equipment and evening activities in addition to academic instruction.
