"The Pursuit" student revival, March 3-5

WILMORE, KY—Asbury College holds its first student-led revival March 3-5. Student leaders hope this will be a time for the campus to share their spiritual growth with peers.
“Our main focus is going to be God’s passionate pursuit of us in His love, grace and mercy and our response and devoted pursuit of Him through humility and sacrifice,” said Dan Baer, vice president for spiritual life.
The theme, “The Pursuit,” is taken from Philippians 3:12, which says, “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”
“We hope the student revival week will be a time that unifies all believers at Asbury College and sets us apart as a campus that pursues Christ above all else,” said Christy Humason, Unashamed Class Chaplain and member of the student revival week task force.
Baer echoed Humason’s thought. “If we could just change one life and allow one student here to know God more fully, we’ve accomplished our task,” he said.
Services are scheduled during chapel Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., along with evening services Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Wednesday at 9 p.m. In addition, students are invited to participate in a campus-wide prayer and fast in Hughes Auditorium from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
Members of the revival week taskforce include, Dan Baer, David Brenneman, Kathy Connolly, Christy Humason, Sarah McQueen and Emily Moore.
