Asbury College sophomores say “Anything Goes”
WILMORE, KY—The Fearless sophomore class presents, “Anything Goes,” Jan. 15-17 in the Doddridge-Holland Theatre. “Anything Goes,” with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, debuted on Broadway in 1934. This musical introduced songs, such as “You’re the Top” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.” The story evolves around Billy Crocker, a stowaway aboard an ocean liner bound for London. While aboard, Billy falls in love with heiress Hope Harcourt. Unfortunately for Billy, Hope is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. In an attempt to win Hope, Billy employs various and often hilarious extremes. Tickets are free and available at the door or can be reserved through Lora Cuckler. Performance times are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
