Celebrate Asbury! Homecoming 2006

WILMORE, KY—Go Eagles! Asbury College alumni and parents join students October 5-7 for Homecoming and Parent Weekend. As always, this event will feature some great new events alongside old standbys. Schreiner chairs the department of doctoral studies in education and teaches in the higher education leadership doctoral program at Asuza Pacific University.

Friday, Oct. 6

2 p.m. Parent Dialogue (parents of new students) with Dr. Eileen Hulme (Kinlaw Library)

Hulme is the executive director of the Noel Academy for Strengths Based Leadership and Education at Asuza.

Adventure Race

9 a.m. Adventure Race

The annual Adventure Race is a two-hour running, canoeing and mountain-biking event. The only requirement is a helmet and bicycle, everything else is provided. Contact Andy Bathje at 859-858-3511, ext. 2117 or Zach Stone 859-338-6380 for more information or to register.

8 p.m. Homecoming Concert: Scott Underwood and the Ascenxion Band (Hughes)

Advance tickets are $10 and $15 the day of show. Group rate tickets are $12. The band is a musical super-group whose members have performed with notable artists such as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, Sheryl Crow and Kirk Franklin.
