Take a walk around Asbury University’s campus and you’ll feel change in the air — long-term, impactful transformation is taking place across the University thanks to “Ignited: The Campaign for Asbury University.”
Encompassing student scholarships, faculty development and retention, academic programs, construction, facility revitalization and much more, Ignited touches every part of campus life. In this President’s Report, our special “Thank You” section (starting on page 14) honors donors whose gifts have sparked impactful growth and life-changing opportunities for students at Asbury. These names represent hearts that are ignited and burning strong for the work God is doing at Asbury.
In the work of sustaining Asbury and driving its mission forward, Ignited includes everyone. Our success requires prayer, time, leadership, expertise, gifts and vision. More than 160 volunteers serve on Asbury’s board, committees and sub-committees, and many more support Asbury with prayer, gifts, time and talent.
With a bold $62-million goal, Ignited is the most comprehensive campaign in Asbury’s history. Launching this campaign was a ambitious step of faith, not only on the part of University leadership, but on the part of every donor who has supported Asbury’s mission.
This holiday season, having reached nearly 83 percent of our goal ($51,375,412), we invite the Asbury family to celebrate how far we’ve come, and to recommit ourselves to finishing strong.
“So many friends have given sacrificially, advancing Asbury’s mission through gifts, prayer and support,” said Dr. Mark Troyer, vice president of Institutional Advancement and Strategic Partnerships. “More work remains to be done, but we are confident that, just as He has been faithful from the beginning, God will continue to open doors for Asbury.”
