Asbury University will welcome students, families and alumni to Family Weekend & Homecoming, Oct. 6-8.

WILMORE, Ky. — Music, sports, s’mores, art and a coronation ceremony — Asbury University’s Family Weekend & Homecoming (Oct. 6-8) will have something for everyone! Families and alumni are invited to revisit Asbury’s campus for a full schedule of fellowship and fun. Click here to view the schedule of events. 

Family Weekend & Homecoming kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 6 with Sibling Invasion, an opportunity for siblings of current students to experience life at Asbury. Participants will attend the live recording of Asbury’s award-winning sitcom, “Friends Like You,” on Thursday evening, followed by a bonfire and s’mores with the rest of the student body. Tickets to “Friends Like You” are available to all guests ages 10 and up. Performances will be offered on Thursday (doors open at 6:45 p.m.) and Friday (doors open at 8:45 p.m.). Tickets must be purchased in advance — $3 each or two for $5. Email to purchase.

On Friday, Family Weekend & Homecoming guests will enjoy a special Homecoming Chapel with Dr. Rob Lewis ’92 and the Concert Band, Admissions and Alumni open houses, an art display, volleyball, men’s basketball and the Homecoming Coronation Concert. 

On Saturday, parents have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and discussion with President Sandra C. Gray. Tickets ($9) can be ordered by emailing RSVP by Oct. 3. Events throughout the afternoon will include volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s soccer and concerts from Asbury’s musical ensembles.

“Family Weekend & Homecoming is such a great opportunity for students, families and alumni to connect,” said Dr. Sarah Baldwin, vice president of Student Development at Asbury. “We’re very intentional about community at Asbury, so getting to share that community with families is awesome. I’m also very excited about having alums come back — it reminds me that the Asbury experience is much bigger than four years.”
