Freshmen Transfers

Freshman Transfer Students are those that have completed 1-29 hours of university level coursework at an accredited university. In order for these students to be accepted we need the following documents of information:

  1. Application – The application can be found and completed at the link below:
    Apply Now
  2. Transcripts – We need both your secondary school and university level transcripts in order to give you transfer credit for classes previously completed. Instructions for submissions are below:
    1. Secondary School – An official sealed copy of your transcripts must be sent to Asbury University directly from your secondary institution. If your transcripts are not in English, then a literal translated copy will need to be sent also.
    2. University transcripts – There are two methods to submit university transcripts depending on where the courses were completed.
      1. For universities within the U.S., an official copy of your transcript must be requested to be sent to Asbury University
      2. Applicants seeking transfer from an institution outside of the U.S. must submit authenticated copies of all international transcripts to the Office of Admissions through the World Education Services credential services clearinghouse. This is to ensure maximum transfer of credits for the student.

Applicants must order the WES ICAP (International Credential Advantage Package) evaluation package and verified transcript. (BASIC evaluation packages will not be acceptable. You must order the ICAP.) If an applicant has completed post-secondary coursework, a Comprehensive Course-By-Course Report is required. When completing the WES Credential Evaluation Application, Asbury University must be selected as a recipient institution.

Applicants may access this service and submit a U.S. Credential Evaluation Application at www.wes.org/application/apply_now.asp.

Applicants are responsible for paying the Credential Services Fee of $195 USD for the WES ICAP Course-By-Course Evaluation, as well as the appropriate delivery fee ($7 USD for standard delivery for each recipient) to the World Education Services through the above website.

NOTE: Fees are not refundable and are subject to change. Under certain circumstances, additional administrative fees may be charged.
