The School of Graduate and Professional Studies strives to provide a high level of care to students in all aspects of their experience at Asbury University. We are committed to providing services to nontraditional students that are accessible when they need them and how they need them. The School of Graduate and Professional Studies works closely with academic departments and administrative offices to create support solutions that are responsive to the unique needs of adult learners.
Philosophy on Student Support: Advocacy and Care
We believe that all students should have the opportunities and services necessary to support their success. The School of Graduate and Professional Studies staff will stand behind students to help them meet their educational goals. We offer guidance, direction, and creative problem solving to support students from application to graduation.
The Advising Center is a comprehensive student support office that partners with academic departments to deliver on-time and accurate academic advising and support and with key administrative offices to provide information and assistance in helping students to connect to the areas of registration, scheduling, financial aid, and student accounts.
The Center for Career and Calling provides resources, professional development opportunities and job-readiness tools that support students in career decision-making.
The Center for Counseling offers a wide range of services to currently enrolled undergraduate students. Integrating psychological practice with Christ-centered principles, our staff of licensed and credentialed counselors seeks to prepare students for a lifetime of learning, leadership, and service.
The School of Graduate and Professional Studies works closely with the Information Technology Services department to provide support to students in the areas of University network systems, technology tools, learning resources, and online course assistance.
The Asbury University Kinlaw Library exists to support the curricular needs of all students and faculty. Using a robust technology infrastructure, the Library provides equitable, on-time services to all residential, distance and online students.
The Center for Academic Excellence exists to provide a supportive academic environment for students on Asbury University's campus. Through peer tutoring and other resources and services, students are given support for particular classes, writing needs, or other academic concerns and are taught skills to become confident, independent learners.
The Disability Services Program at Asbury University provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
