Principal Licensure

The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete an Education Specialist Degree (EdS). This program is designed for students pursuing Rank 1 status. Students who complete the Dual-Certification Program will earn both Principal and Supervisor of Instruction P-12 Licensure. Principal Alternative Certification Route allows completion of the preparation program with concurrent employment in a school district.

How the Program is Delivered

The program is delivered online in dynamic, interactive web-based learning environments. Courses include live, synchronous web-conferencing experiences that connect students to faculty and each other. Project-based and collaborative activities provide an engaging learning experience that is highly relational. Students also benefit from interactions with distinguished practitioners from within the profession who connect with students virtually through the learning management system.

Students typically complete 6-9 credit hours each semester and courses are typically delivered in 7 week blocks.
