The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete a masters degree in education. The Initial and Alternative Certification is for students who already hold a bachelors degree in a content area and who are interested in obtaining teaching credentials as an educator in the schools.
How the Program is Delivered
The program is delivered online in dynamic, interactive web-based learning environments. Courses include live, synchronous web-conferencing experiences that connect students to faculty and each other. Project-based and collaborative activities provide an engaging learning experience that is highly relational. Students also benefit from interactions with distinguished practitioners from within the profession who connect with students virtually through the learning management system.
Students have the option of beginning the program at multiple entry points (spring, summer, or fall term). Students typically complete 6-9 credit hours each semester. Courses are typically delivered in 7 week blocks.
