Dear Visionary Class,

We know this time away from Asbury’s campus and your friends is challenging, and we are heartbroken with you over the interruption of your final semester. Our time apart has highlighted how valued each of you are and the significance of being together in person. Your survey responses regarding the importance of an in-person Commencement ceremony echo this quite clearly.

Unfortunately, and with great disappointment, I write to tell you we cannot responsibly host a gathering the size of Commencement this May because of COVID-19. Please know that while we must postpone Commencement for now, we are committed to celebrating you and are currently working on plans to do this in the future.

We are very proud of you, we care about you, and we pray daily for you. Be encouraged and encourage one another to stay connected. Remember, we can do hard things together!

We will keep you informed with updates as they become available. We look forward to celebrating together soon.
