Certificate and Licensure Programs

School Social Worker

A School Social Work Certification Track is available to students who are completing an MSW degree. Along with the MSW degree, this certification track enables individuals to work as social workers in the public school system.

Master of Social Work

The Master of Social Work degree is for students with a bachelor’s degree in any area other than social work. The program is 60 semester hours. Advanced Standing is available to students who hold a BSW from a CSWE accredited program with a minimum 3.25 GPA. The Advanced Standing program is 39 semester hours.

Principal Licensure

The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete an Education Specialist Degree (EdS). This program is designed for students pursuing Rank 1 status. Students who complete the Dual-Certification Program will earn both Principal and Supervisor of Instruction P-12 Licensure. Principal Alternative Certification Route allows completion of the preparation program with concurrent employment in a school district.

Literacy Specialist P-12

The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete a master's degree in education. The Literacy Specialist P-12 program is offered to those who already hold a teaching certificate and want to obtain a master's degree and/or additional certification.

Learning and Behavior Disorders P-12

The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete a master's degree in education. The Learning and Behavior Disorders program is offered to those seeking initial certification and to those who already hold a teaching license and are pursuing a master's degree and/or additional certification.

The English as a Second Language P-12 program is offered to those seeking initial certification and to those who already hold a teaching certificate and want to obtain a master's degree and/or additional certification.

Spanish P-12

The Online Education program is designed to provide busy, working adults with an opportunity to complete a master's degree in education. The Initial and Alternative Certification is for students who already hold a bachelor's degree in a content area and are interested in obtaining teaching credentials as an educator in the schools.
