Homecoming and Parent’s Weekend, Oct. 2-5

WILMORE, KY—It’s time to put on your purple and white for Asbury College’s Homecoming and Parent’s Weekend Oct. 2-5. This year’s homecoming will feature concerts, a musical, and several athletic events. See a full schedule.
Festivities began Thursday, Oct. 2, with women’s soccer and volleyball and conclude on Sunday morning with a service in Hughes Auditorium with Campus Chaplain, Greg Haseloff.

The music department will host a homecoming concert in Hughes on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m., featuring nearly 100 students in the orchestra and chorale. They will also have an ensemble concert in Akers Auditorium Saturday morning with Handbells, Women’s Choir, Men’s Glee Club, and Collegium Musicum ensembles. The theatre department is performing a musical the Spitfire Grill Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Friday at 8:30 p.m. You may purchase tickets for the performances by calling 859-858-3511, ext. 3207.
Asbury’s Homecoming picnic will be at the Luce on Saturday at 12 p.m. Meals are $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Homecoming Coronation is at halftime of the men’s soccer game Saturday evening with a reception in the Student Center after the game. There will be men’s basketball and baseball alumni games over the weekend. The athletics department will showcase the new women’s softball team with an exhibition game on Saturday morning.
Wilmore’s Arts and Crafts festival will also be held during Homecoming weekend. We encourage you to visit the festival and join with alumni, students, family, and friends as we celebrate Asbury College.
